Hockey has always been a part of our family. My father-in-law used to build a DIY backyard rink for my wife when she was growing up, so when our kids started to fall in love with skating and hockey, we knew we wanted to give them the same experience.
What started with beginner skating lessons quickly turned into the kids wanting to be on the ice every day. Between work, practices and busy schedules, getting to open skate sessions wasn’t always realistic so bringing the rink home completely changed things for our family.

When we decided it was time to invest in a rink kit, we looked at the available options – with dimensions being the biggest factor. Despite limited space, we wanted something that would suit our backyard. That's when we found YardRink.

We also wanted something that would be easy to set up, take down, and store, and YardRink checked all those boxes as the other kits were pricier, too big, and seemed difficult to assemble.When our YardRink was delivered, it was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. Now, we can get all of the ice time that we want!
A Rink for the Whole Family
Not only do the kids enjoy the rink, but my wife and I also like to get out on it. My wife hasn’t skated in years, but she’s getting back into it, while my kids are out there helping me! There has been a learning curve with learning to skate and playing the sport, but it has been a lot of fun, especially since we can have all that fun in our own backyard.
Before YardRink, we usually spent most of the winter indoors. Now, the rink has completely changed that. It’s given our family a reason to get outside and stay active all winter long. We’re already excited to set it up even earlier next season and make many more amazing family memories.
