What sold me on YardRink was how simple it looked to set up and that I could create a custom size for our backyard. We don’t have a massive backyard and YardRink made it easy to build a rink that takes advantage of the available space.
My 13-year-old son homeschools, so having a rink in our backyard means he can skate as much as the weather permits. The flexibility has been incredible — he’s able to get meaningful ice time during the day and spend his free time outside instead of indoors.
We liked that YardRink would work with us to find the right custom size. We also wanted something that would be easy to set up, take down, and store, and YardRink checked all those boxes as the other kits were pricier, too big, and seemed difficult to assemble.
I did a lot of research before deciding what to buy. I looked at used options and different kits, but the YardRink design stood out. Having the tarp on the outside made a lot of sense to me, and it felt like something that would actually hold up over time.
