What sold me was the design. YardRink’s unique outer tarp makes it look and feel like a real rink. Setup was surprisingly straightforward. In the summer, we have our pool for backyard fun. But thanks to YardRink, winter now has its own spotlight. It’s become our cold-weather hangout spot – a place where the kids can practice their skills, burn off energy and have fun outside.

Discovering YardRink was like finding a gem in a sea of options. I spent time researching different backyard rink solutions and was impressed by YardRink's design, reasonable pricing, and the added benefit of having the tarp on the outside. Watching our kids' skating and hockey skills improve daily has been immensely rewarding.

When I came across YardRink, I was immediately drawn to the tarp on the outside of the rink.

Fitting the boards together and flooding them was surprisingly easy, and the rink felt sturdy and playable. We love that our YardRink plays and feels like a real rink. The nets worked seamlessly as we practiced our shooting with the goal set up on the ice. While it might be common knowledge in the ODR community, the tarp on the outside of the rink was a total game-changer for us – I couldn't believe more people weren’t doing this already.

After struggling for years trying to perfect our DIY backyard rink, discovering YardRink felt like fate. I found YardRink’s easy setup process to be much smoother than the DIY projects we have done in the past. Unlike the square rinks we are used to, YardRink has curved edges and the pucks won't get stuck in the corner.

I came across a YouTube video from Jeremy Rupke (How to Hockey) featuring his YardRink setup and I was intrigued. I loved the concept of having the liner on the outside of the rink and the rounded boards. It makes me proud to know that I built it myself and created a space where my family and friends can enjoy the best parts of winter together.

We set up the rink on our sport court – where we also play basketball and pickleball. I needed something sturdy that would provide a real rink experience. That’s when I discovered YardRink Street. The setup process was awesome, and the rink truly replicates the feel of playing on a real rink with rounded boards. One of my favorite touches is the inclusion of NHL team logos and the puck retention nets are another game-changer.
