Ice perfection doesn’t happen just because of weather conditions – we know that it also has to do with the design of an ODR. That includes emphasizing the quality of the tarps we offer our customers. From Standard and Junior to Custom tarps and everything in between, we want to ensure that what you’re receiving meets not only our exacting standards, but also yours.
At YardRink, we offer a tarp like no other. Our custom tarp has rounded corners. It wraps around the outside of the walls, has woven-in lines to help guide panel placement, rip-stop triple laminate design, and reinforced grommets along the entire edge of its fabric-woven hem.
Before shipping out, our tarps go through rigorous quality checkpoints and comprehensive finished goods inspection. Quality reviews inspect for proper workmanship, compliance with material specifications, accurate dimensional measurements, robust packaging and stringent performance metrics. We perform these inspections so that you can confidently set up your rink without hassle, knowing the tarp will perform well in your yard.

We believe backyard ice should provide authentic, high-quality play where the puck whips around the rink and plays realistically off the boards. With YardRink, this is enabled by placing the tarp on the outside, so it won’t interfere with the flight of the puck. There is no tarp slush! And the tarp won’t interfere with sticks, shovels or snowblowers. To enable realistic board play we had to reinvent the tarp. And rink owners around North America are glad we did.
The Farmers’ Almanac predicts major cold for this coming winter, which is perfect for hockey and skating.
